Much of the appeal of PolarLight acrylic block windows comes from their ability to manipulate light, natural and artificial, or to provide privacy. Our acrylic block is transparent, but surface wave patterns refract light and distort views, and frosted treatments can add further privacy. This is what makes them so appealing for their use in external windows, interior panels, and door sidelights.
A unique manufacturing formula makes the acrylic block look more like true glass, allowing for a luminance rate of 92 percent of visible light inside a room.
The smooth but irregular surface of the block sheds water as well as plain glass panels, but is far better at minimising visible water marks.
PolarLight acrylic block windows are finished with a smooth, clean mildew resistant silicon
grout. With glass block constructions the mortar used to seal around the blocks and frame can become mildewed over time as moisture forms on the glass.
